If you're going to play Jersey City, Uncle Joe's is where you play. A couple heads from Brooklyn made the trip to see us, but I remember the crowd being largely apathetic. It wasn't just us though. Crush Kill Destroy was from Chicago, with all that being a band from Chicago entails. After playing an 8-minute instrumental track that had like five time changes, the room was silent. One of the members joked something like, "Wow, I can tell we're not in Chicago anymore. They love that song there." The poster design was on our website homepage for a while, prompting some stranger to email me warning me about lawsuits.
