Sing Sing is Emma Anderson of Lush's band. We played this show for free for the "exposure" and the "beer". Presumably Sing Sing commanded a high guarantee, which is absurd because practically no one came to the show. Funny story about the poster...around a week later I was going around Williamsburg postering for our next show and one of these was still up at the L Cafe. As I was taking it down, the 20-something hipster cashier said, "Hey, you can't just take down someone's poster." I said, "It's ok, because this show already happened and..." "And it's ugly?" she interrupted. "...and it's my poster," I finished. Rather than be embarrassed, she then said sarcastically, "Oh, you're in the band? Can you sign it for me?" I love this Williamsburg mentality: "I work a minimum wage job at a coffee shop on Bedford Ave. and am therefore hot shit."
